PP and PET geotextile
2012-03-24 14:00:00

If you want to know the difference between PP and PET geotextile, you’d better discover the difference between their raw material-PP (polypropylene) and PET (polyester).
Commonly PP have the lowest density of all commodity thermoplastics, and PP’s density is 0.90, 34% lower than PET’s 1.33-1.34. From the economical angel, PP is cheaper than PET, and it cost less when processing PP. PP is more rigid than PET, which means PET have good organoleptic feeling. PP have much better performance against Chemical than PET does, but PP have bad perform when temperature matters, means PP can not work perfect under either very high or very low temperature. There is one thing should be noticed, normally, PP can not be exposed to sun, because PP do not resistance to UV.
